AFEV A.C, Transforming Lives with Love and Support.
In 1970 a group of women from Puerto Vallarta founded the first civil association for social assistance, Asociación Feminil Vallartense A.C., focusing on improving the community in social, civic, cultural and sports aspects, in collaboration with authorities. Throughout the years, they have achieved important milestones, such as the construction of the first home, the maintenance of the 5 de Diciembre Municipal Pantheon, and the participation in the reconstruction of the Temple of Our Lady of Guadalupe, among others. Since 2006, CANICA VALLARTA, (Support Center for children with cancer) has been its main program.

“CADA PASO QUE DAMOS ES POR ELLOS”
A Path of Hope and Struggle
The support program for children and adolescents with cancer was born in 2006 as the most important program of the Asociación Femenil Vallartense A.C., due to the lack of doctors and oncology facilities in the region.
For this reason, the families of a child or adolescent with cancer (all of them of limited resources) had (and still have) the need to travel to the city of Guadalajara to receive their treatments in public health institutions.
